Pablo Garcia-Lopez, MFA, PhD Pablo Garcia-Lopez was born in Madrid in 1977. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry from Autonoma University, and a PhD in Neuroscience from Complutense University, both located in Madrid, Spain. As a Neuroscientist, he published numerous scientific papers in international journals. He is an expert on the Legacy of spanish artist, scientist and Nobel ward Santiago Ramon y Cajal (1852-1934).


In 2008, he moved to New York when he obtained a grant from the Caixa Galicia foundation to develop the “Cortical Garden” project in the School of Visual Arts. Later, he received a fellowship from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, where he graduated in 2012 (MFA,Sculpture).

Pablo has been an artist in residence at Brooklyn Art Space (2012), Franconia Sculpture Park, Jerome Art Foundation (Minnesota2013), Sculpture Space (Ithaca, 2017), Governors Island AIR (2019) and Queens Council Art Grant (2020). Pablo has participated in exhibitions in Spain (Madrid), Germany (Dresden), Czech Republic (Brno), England (London), United States (NY, Washington, Baltimore,) and Australia (Sidney).  He teaches courses of Science, Sci-fi, Art and Culture at the School of Visual Arts.
